Each year, Sisters of St. Martha celebrate Anniversaries and, occasionally Jubilees.

This year, on June 4, Sisters gathered at Martha Place to recognize nine women who faithfully responded to the call they received many decades earlier to live and serve wherever they were called and missioned. Their fidelity for 60, 70, 75, and 85 years is a prophetic witness in today’s culture where permanency appears to be less visible. We admire these nine amazing Martha women who continue to be a blessing to all, embracing the future with undaunted hope.

This year, there was a special recognition of Sr. Madeleine Connolly, 104, who has reached a milestone anniversary, marking 85 years as a professed Sister, only the second in the Congregation to have done so. Sr. Madeline’s life spans over 100 years and she continues to be interested in the state of the world and the future of religious life. Her commitment to learning is inspirational.
