On Sunday, September 18th, the community of Inverness, Cape Breton, celebrated the 97 years of Martha presence as the St. Mary’s Convent had closed its doors and the last Sisters had left town in the summer of 2022.

Each year, Sisters of St. Martha celebrate Anniversaries and, occasionally Jubilees. This year, on June 4, Sisters gathered at Martha Place to recognize nine women who faithfully responded to the call they received many decades earlier to live and serve wherever they were called and missioned.
